【概况】

上海中医药大学、上海市中医药研究院儿科研究所(简称儿科研究所)成立于2010年,是集基础与临床研究、教学和科研工作,科所合一的应用医学研究机构。

一、机构组成

儿科研究所整合上海中医药大学4家附属医院,包括市中医医院、曙光医院、龙华医院、岳阳医院儿科力量。依托单位上海中医药大学附属市中医医院儿科是国家临床重点专科、国家中医药管理局重点学科/重点专科、上海市临床重点专科、上海市中医儿科临床基地、海派中医徐氏儿科/董氏儿科学术流派传承总基地、上海市中医质控中医儿科组长单位。

首任所长为上海市名中医虞坚尔教授,现任所长为薛征教授,现任副所长为姜永红教授。研究所拥有上海市名中医2名,博士生导师5名,硕士生导师20余名,人员梯队硕博比达95%以上,并配备具有博士学位的、固定编制的专职研究人员。

二、人才培养

自成立以来,成长和培养了一大批高级别人才,包括全国老中医药专家学术经验传承工作继承人、全国中医临床优秀人才、全国中医药传承博士后、“国家中医药传承与创新百千万”人才工程全国中医药创新骨干人才、上海市中医药领军人才、上海市科技英才“扬帆计划”、上海市杏林新星、上海市“医苑新星”青年医学人才、上海市中医药(中医专科)专门人才、第一批上海市海派中医流派传承人才、上海中医药大学后备业务专家、上海中医药大学高峰高原学科专项人才、上海中医药大学金牌教师、上海中医药大学临床中青年骨干教师等。构建“全国名老中医药专家—学科领军人才—青年优才”中医儿科传承创新研究团队。

三、科研成果及学术推广

儿研所团队继承前辈学术经验,积极开展中医药防治小儿常见病、多发病及疑难病相关临床和基础研究,经过多年发展,形成了较为稳定、中医特色鲜明的研究方向,包括小儿肺系、脾系、肾系、心肝系疾病以及流派传承研究,围绕主攻病种儿童哮喘、复感、肺炎、厌食、吐乳、腹泻、性早熟、抽动障碍、多动症、癫痫等疾病,重点开展相关机理研究、临床疗效评价研究、制剂研究等,在全国同行中居领先地位。

2007年至2024年期间承担课题一百余项,其中国家级项目30余项,包括国家自然基金课题,“十一五”支撑项目,国家中医药管理局课题等。上海市科委课题31项,上海市卫生局课题65项,上海市教委课题7项,上海市申康医院发展中心课题1项等。发表学术论文七百余篇,其中SCI期刊收录论文百余篇,出版学术专著20余部,获国家发明专利11项,上海市药品监督管理局医疗机构制剂批件2项,科研获奖20余项。其中“精简补肾固表颗粒治疗小儿反复呼吸道感染的新药临床前研究”2010年获中华中医药学会科学技术奖二等奖,“平喘方防治支气管哮喘的机制及临床推广作用”2013年获上海中医药科技成果推广奖,“中医分期辨证内外合治小儿肺炎的临床评价研究及作用基础”2014年获上海中西医结合学会科学技术进步奖,“一种治疗儿童支气管哮喘的药物及其应用”2015年获上海市优秀发明选拔赛优秀发明金奖,“中医分期辨证内外合治小儿肺炎的临床评价研究及作用基础”2015年获中国中西医结合学会科学技术进步奖三等奖,“从脾论治女童性早熟的临床及机制研究”2016年获上海市中西医结合科学技术进步奖三等奖,“海派中医徐氏儿科治疗哮喘的临床及基础研究”2018年获上海市科技进步二等奖,“基于肺与大肠相表里理论的儿童风热咳嗽临床研究及推广应用”2019年获上海市中西医结合科学技术二等奖,“海派徐氏儿科防治小儿哮喘的作用机制及临床研究”2020年获中华中医药学会科学技术成果奖三等奖,“中医儿科特色人才培养模式的改革与实践”获2021年上海中医药大学教学成果奖一等奖,“儿童肺肠轴疾病的中医经典理论基础研究及临床推广”2021年获中国民族医药学会科学技术奖三等奖,“以海派中医学术传承为特色的新型中医儿科人才培养体系构建与成效”2022年获上海市高等教学成果奖二等奖,“中医药防治小儿反复呼吸道感染的临床和基础研究”2023年获中国民族医药学会科学技术奖三等奖,“海派徐氏儿科防治哮喘的创新性研究及应用”2024年获中国民族医药学会科学技术奖二等奖,“海派徐氏儿科从脾肾论治儿童肥胖相关疾病”2024年上海中西医结合科学技术奖二等奖,“中医儿科流派研究”2024年获上海中医药科技奖著作奖。“中医药防治儿童新型冠状病毒感染诊疗技术创新及应用”2024年上海市第36届优秀发明选拔赛铜奖。主办的“中医儿科浦江论坛”暨国家级继续教育项目“海派中医儿科学术思想临床应用班”获上海市2019年度优秀中医药继续教育项目。2018年牵头成立了中华中医药学会儿科流派传承创新共同体,虞坚尔教授担任主席,以传承为基础、以创新为动力,整合全国优质资源,推动产、学、研资源互补与学科建设共同发展。研究所学术影响力不断增强,近年来在小儿肺系、脾系、心肝系疾病的临床指南制定工作中发挥了重要作用,主持制定了中国中药协会标准化项目管理办公室组织的《中成药治疗小儿急性支气管炎临床应用指南》,牵头和参与制订了国家中管局小儿哮喘临床诊疗方案、中西医结合防治儿童哮喘临床指南、反复呼吸道感染、汗证、疳证、脾虚体质、抽动障碍等疾病指南及专家共识三十余项。

四、教学研究

儿科研究所为博士、硕士学位授予点、博士后流动工作站,承担上海中医药大学本科生、研究生的相关教学、带教任务,培养了大量优秀医学人才。

建立了完善的学科体系,承担《中医儿科学》《中医儿科学理论与实践》《中西医结合儿科学》《儿童保健学》等教学任务,主编、副主编国家规划教材20余部,参编教材多部,牵头组建“海派中医儿科”学术传承教学学术共同体。开展了一系列教学研究工作,承担各级各类教学项目19项,包括上海市教委课题7项。研究内容涵盖精品课程建设、中医儿科教学中经典理论探索、视频公开课建设、培训基地建设、CCS考站、OSCE考站建设等,采用情景模拟、PBL、CBL、思维导图等教学方法,提升教学质量,加强对学生临床及科研能力的培养,多名本科生、硕博士研究生获市级、校级优秀毕业生、校级优秀硕博士论文等荣誉,学位点建设卓有成效。作为上海市住院医师规范化培训基地及上海市住院医师专科培训基地中医儿科学组组长单位,牵头制定《上海市中医儿科住院医师规范化培训方案》、主编《住院医师规范化培训应知应会教材——中医儿科学》、编写中医儿科学专业规培及专培教学大纲并完成了考试题库建设。主编“十三五”国家级规划教材《中西医结合儿科学》2014年上海中医药大学“校级优秀教材奖”、2015年获上海市教委上海普通高校优秀教材奖,“中医儿科特色人才培养模式的改革与实践”2021年获上海中医药大学教学成果奖一等奖,“以海派中医学术传承为特色的新型中医儿科人才培养体系构建与成效”2022年获上海市优秀教学成果二等奖。教材和课程建设也为上海中医药大学中医儿科学整个学科建设和发展奠定了坚实基础,充实了学科建设内涵,学科在国家中医药管理局“十二五”中医药重点学科验收中获优秀等次。

儿科研究所经费主要来源于各项中标科研经费、上海市中医医院专项经费等,2007年至2024年获得各级科研项目经费资助近七千万元。儿科研究所具备固定研究场地,包括研究所办公室、实验室、资料档案室,其中实验室面积505平方米,“十四五”期间实验中心新增面积540平方米,新增投入320万元,科研实验条件满足科研和高层次中医儿科人才培养的需要。

the Pediatric Research Institute, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Pediatric Research Institute (PRI) of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM) and Shanghai Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in 2010. It is an applied medical research institution integrating basic and clinical research, teaching, and scientific research.

I. Organizational Structure

The PRI integrates the pediatric departments of four affiliated hospitals of SHUTCM: Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shuguang Hospital, Longhua Hospital, and Yueyang Hospital.  The supporting unit, the Department of Pediatrics of Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a National Key Clinical Specialty, a Key Discipline/Specialty of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM), a Shanghai Key Clinical Specialty, the Shanghai Clinical Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics, the Inheritance Base of Xus and Dongs Pediatric Schools of Haipai Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the leader of the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Quality Control Group for Pediatrics.

The first director was Professor Yu Jianer, a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner in Shanghai. The current director is Professor Xue Zheng, and the current deputy director is Professor Jiang Yonghong. The institute has two renowned TCM practitioners in Shanghai, five doctoral supervisors, over 20 masters supervisors, and a team with over 95% holding doctoral or masters degrees.  It is also staffed with full-time researchers holding doctoral degrees.

II. Talent Cultivation

Since its establishment, the PRI has cultivated numerous high-level talents, including inheritors of academic experience from national veteran TCM experts, national outstanding TCM clinical talents, national TCM inheritance post-doctoral researchers, national TCM innovation backbone talents of the National TCM Inheritance and Innovation Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Talents Project,Shanghai TCM leading talents, Shanghai Science and Technology Elite Yangfan Programrecipients, Shanghai Xinglin Rising Starand Yi Yuan Rising Staryoung medical talents, Shanghai TCM (TCM specialty) specialized talents, the first batch of Shanghai Haipai TCM school inheritance talents, SHUTCM reserve business experts, SHUTCM peak and plateau discipline special talents, SHUTCM gold medal teachers, and SHUTCM clinical young and middle-aged backbone teachers.  The institute has built a TCM pediatric inheritance and innovation research team consisting of National Renowned Veteran TCM Experts - Discipline Leading Talents - Young Talents.

III. Research Achievements and Academic Promotion

Inheriting the academic experience of predecessors, the PRI team actively carries out clinical and basic research on TCM prevention and treatment of common, frequently-occurring, and difficult pediatric diseases.  Over the years, it has formed stable and distinctive research directions, including pediatric pulmonary, spleen, kidney, heart-liver system diseases, and school inheritance research. Focusing on major diseases such as childhood asthma, recurrent respiratory infections, pneumonia, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, precocious puberty, tic disorders, ADHD, and epilepsy, the institute conducts research on related mechanisms, clinical efficacy evaluation, and formulation research, holding a leading position among its peers nationwide.

From 2007 to 2024, the PRI undertook over 100 projects, including over 30 national-level projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation projects, Eleventh Five-Year Plansupporting projects, and NATCM projects.  It also undertook 31 projects from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, 65 from the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, 7 from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and 1 from the Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center.  The institute has published over 700 academic papers, including over 100 in SCI journals, and over 20 academic monographs.  It has obtained 11 national invention patents, 2 medical institution preparation approvals from the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration, and over 20 research awards.  For example: Preclinical Study of Simplified Bushen Gubiao Granules for the Treatment of Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections in Childrenwon the second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine in 2010;  Clinical and Basic Research on the Treatment of Asthma by Xus Pediatrics of Haipai TCMwon the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018.  Innovative Research and Application of Xus Pediatrics of Haipai TCM in the Prevention and Treatment of Asthmawon the second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the China Association of Ethnomedicine in 2024. TCM Prevention and Treatment of Novel Coronavirus Infection in Children: Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Innovation and Applicationwon the bronze award at the 36th Shanghai Outstanding Invention Selection Competition in 2024.  The PRI hosted the Pediatric TCM Pujiang Forumand the national continuing education project Haipai Pediatric TCM Academic Thought Clinical Application Class,which was awarded the 2019 Shanghai Outstanding TCM Continuing Education Project. In 2018, the PRI led the establishment of the Pediatric School Inheritance and Innovation Community of the Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine, chaired by Professor Yu Jianer. Based on inheritance and driven by innovation, the community integrates high-quality resources nationwide to promote complementary resource allocation in production, learning, and research, and the joint development of discipline construction. The institutes academic influence continues to grow, and in recent years, it has played a significant role in the formulation of clinical guidelines for pediatric pulmonary, spleen, and heart-liver system diseases. It presided over the formulation of the Clinical Application Guidelines for the Treatment of Pediatric Acute Bronchitis with Chinese Patent Medicineorganized by the Standardization Project Management Office of the China Association of Chinese Medicine and led and participated in the formulation of over 30 guidelines and expert consensuses for diseases such as pediatric asthma, recurrent respiratory infections, sweating, emaciation, spleen deficiency constitution, and tic disorders.

IV. Teaching and Research

The PRI is a doctoral and masters degree awarding unit and a post-doctoral mobile research station. It undertakes relevant teaching and training tasks for undergraduates and postgraduates of SHUTCM, cultivating numerous outstanding medical talents.

The institute has established a complete disciplinary system, undertaking teaching tasks such as TCM Pediatrics,” “TCM Pediatrics Theory and Practice,” “Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Pediatrics,and Child Healthcare.It has edited or co-edited over 20 national planning textbooks and participated in the compilation of many others. It led the formation of the Haipai TCM Pediatricsacademic inheritance teaching academic community.  The PRI has carried out a series of teaching research projects, undertaking 19 teaching projects at various levels, including 7 from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The research content covers the construction of excellent courses, the exploration of classical theories in TCM pediatric teaching, the construction of video open courses, training bases, CCS examination stations, and OSCE examination stations.  It adopts teaching methods such as scenario simulation, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Case-Based Learning (CBL), and mind mapping to improve teaching quality and strengthen the cultivation of studentsclinical and scientific research abilities. Many undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students have won honors such as municipal and university-level outstanding graduates and outstanding masters and doctoral dissertations. The construction of degree programs has been fruitful. As the leader of the TCM Pediatrics Group of the Shanghai Standardized Residency Training Base and the Shanghai Specialized Residency Training Base, the PRI led the formulation of the Shanghai Standardized Residency Training Program for TCM Pediatrics,edited the Standardized Residency Training Essential Knowledge and Skills Textbook - TCM Pediatrics,compiled the TCM Pediatrics specialized training teaching syllabus, and completed the construction of the examination question bank.  The Thirteenth Five-Year Plannational planning textbook Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Pediatrics,edited by the PRI, won the University-Level Excellent Textbook Awardof SHUTCM in 2014 and the Shanghai Excellent Textbook Award for General Universitiesfrom the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission in 2015.  Reform and Practice of the Characteristic Talent Training Mode of TCM Pediatricswon the first prize of SHUTCM Teaching Achievement Award in 2021. Construction and Effectiveness of a New TCM Pediatric Talent Training System Featuring Haipai TCM Academic Inheritancewon the second prize of Shanghai Excellent Teaching Achievement Award in 2022. Textbook and curriculum development have laid a solid foundation for the overall discipline construction and development of TCM Pediatrics at SHUTCM, enriching the connotation of discipline construction.  The discipline received an excellent rating in the Twelfth Five-Year PlanTCM key discipline acceptance by the NATCM.

The PRIs funding mainly comes from various research grants and special funds from Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From 2007 to 2024, it received nearly 70 million RMB in funding from various research projects. The PRI has fixed research facilities, including institute offices, laboratories, and archives, with a laboratory area of 505 square meters. During the Fourteenth Five-Year Planperiod, the experimental center added 540 square meters and invested an additional 3.2 million RMB. The scientific research experimental conditions meet the needs of scientific research and the cultivation of high-level TCM pediatric talents.
